- My first fandom... my nominated tags lean heavily on the events of Krondor: The Betrayal (and the novelisation's source material), and (in spirit) on Honored Enemy, but I would also be happy with some worldbuilding.
- I love the 'not so different' aspect of the eledhel and moredhel and their divergent fates from a very similar origin, one of the things I enjoy is the ambiguity over why they turned out so different. In-universe, characters (especially humans) readily embrace the idea that the moredhel are just innately evil (and treat them as such), but it's easy to see traces of how their material conditions shaped their civilisation and the way the eledhel might have turned out the same way if things had been different. It's very interesting that the author mentioned (way back in the day on crydee.com) Native Americans as an inspiration for the moredhel - displaced, their lands taken from them, in constant conflict with the Kingdom - and then spent dozens of books ignoring that.
- In particular, I can't help but wonder: what if Elvandar's magic began to fail (and/or their Spellweavers lost their magic)? Their diplomatic and peaceful relationship with the Kingdom would likely turn a lot more fraught if they didn't have a forest full of defensive magic that effortlessly keeps intruders out and makes sure only Approved Visitors(TM) get into Elvandar.
- On the character request side (and please feel free to freely mix book canon with videogame canon if you happen to know both): I just want to see more of Gorath & Owyn, really. But I'd also love more branches diverging from and exploring more of canon, such as:
- Gorath goes to Elvandar but doesn't Return, because his sense of duty to his people is too strong to accept the kind of change in loyalties that means he could never go home again
- Gorath goes to Elvandar and Returns but it's deconstructed as something unsettling and wrong (I can't be the only one who thinks that whole thing as written in the books has strong brainwashing vibes, right?)
- Everybody Lives!AU for the ending. And feel free to take that to the logical extreme, because it's interesting to consider Gorath and Delekhan both surviving the events under Sethanon and what Gorath would do if his old enemy were defeated... would he show mercy? Insist on revenge? Demand restitution of some kind? And how does the messy succession of moredhel leadership and Liallan affect the picture?
- I just want messy diplomatic negotiations between the moredhel and the Kingdom in the aftermath of Delekhan's defeat ok. Maybe Gorath can be alive to participate alongside Liallan or it can be the other characters he made an impact on (damn near everybody in the cast, apparently, from Owyn to Pug to Jimmy and Locky and even Dolgan, by-the-by the encounter between Dolgan & Gorath remains my favourite book-only scene) advocating on his behalf.

- I would love something else set in this world or exploring various points of canon, or a canon divergence AU of some kind. There's a lot to be done here, but if you're looking for ideas, maybe something set during the multi-month timeskip with all the Endbringer attacks? Taylor coming into her own as a hero and coming to trust and be trusted by her team despite the initial difficulties is such a good part of the story. Could be plotty or something lighter like "Golem or one of the others makes Taylor take a damn break every once in a while".
- That said, I also adore Taylor's villain phase and would love something from the era after she's had her identity and so many of her secrets exposed, and her enemies know exactly who they're dealing with (but it doesn't help).
- I love the tenuous team-ups between heroes and villains: both when it's the Undersiders teaming up with the Wards, and when it's Weaver!Taylor teaming up with the Undersiders again while on the other side of the line now. I particularly enjoy the interactions between Taylor and Clockblocker as well as Taylor and Dragon.
- What if Taylor did actually end up going back to school at Arcadia High for a while, pretending to be a normal teen? God, imagine...

I'd love to read the story of some oc librarian who got hired in a less bugnutty way to do Vlad's paperwork (or any of the canon academics in a divergence au!!). still a very bugnutty situation with vampires and all ofc but like, pls, more reasonable hiring practices than scattershotting very secret diaries across random universities and waiting for decades to see if anyone will circle (yes) on the "do you like me y/n" you left hidden in the woodblock print.
- How did Vlad get so hung up on libraries, specifically, anyway? Did he catch the bookworm vibe while he was in jail in Hungary?? Is he pining for Matthias? Also, I can't imagine that he would just have let the bibliotheca corviniana just get robbed by other people - those should be in HIS museum, right? Vampire heist fic to steal the books before Suleiman's boys can get them/before they can get shipped back to the Empire?
- So we got like a half glimpse at Matty collecting vampire books and a longer glimpse at Mehmed setting up anti-vampire secret society but PLEASE i'm begging you: what did saint stephen the great think about his COUSIN being a vampire? pls the contrast... so fascinating... (also please feel VERY welcome to do like, a saberhagen-y twist thing and tell me a lionizing POV of why Vlad was the real hero of this twisted narrative all along lmao.)
- Vlad has tried his wacky hiring strategy for hundreds of years and mysteriously still can't find a good librarian so he goes to get an MLS and learn how to do it himself

Creation of the Scholomance
The Scholomance is one of the best sentient-building characters ever; its brooding malevolence that turns out to just be the best it can do at benevolence, its ruthless pragmatism in attempting to keep the highest possible percentage of children safe, all of its weird little nooks and crannies and general orneriness. It's such a gloriously haunted and haunting place.

Prompts
-Who was chosen to serve as the initial sacrifice in Patience that the entire school was founded upon? It would be interesting, if horrifying, to follow their thoughts and Patience's release into the school, or its initial victims from that first class.
-What was the first class like? Were things okay that first year, or did it begin to devolve into monsters and death immediately?
-A series of anecdotes from the construction from the pov of different specialists or different parts of the school as they came alive in the void would be fun. Did the school roll its metaphorical eyes when the gym came online? How did it go about beginning to snatch books from the void for the library? There's a lot of potential here.

Look, I love Violet/Xaden as much as anyone (feel free to include it in the background if you want), but the dragons are the best part of these books. They're so fantastic; I love Tairn's snarkiness that covers a real, deep feeling for Violet, and Andarna's journey from sweet baby child to snarky, grumpy tween to an insecure young adult searching for the place she belongs. There's so much to play with in the idea that dragons and riders can influence each other's personalities and feelings; obviously we've seen times Tairn's had an effect on Violet's emotions, and while her bond with Andarna may be more subtle in that way, the effect they have on each other is all the greater.
