Pre-canon could be interesting--how they met? projects they worked on together? their initial research into hierophantic tools? Or any missing scenes from starting Foundryside Limited? Or any sort of funeral rites post-Shorefall?

Claviedes & Crasedes
Obsessed with how many layers and complications their relationship has, starting out as father and son and then shaping each other into tools to inflict their own vision onto the world (sometimes literally). I'm most interested in anything after Crasedes's hierophantic ascension, but I'd also be interested in more insight into Crasedes's past as an escaped slave and how he thinks he is or isn't following his father's philosophy.

Gregor
Gregor's arc in Shorefall is so so compelling to me--having to fight against his entire identity and history as a soldier in order to retain his autonomy, gradually remembering all his past deaths, and I'd love to see more of his perspective as he deals with it all. The legends of the revenant of Dantua would also be really interesting!

Worldbuilding
I've always been really curious about what the scriving process is like under more "normal" circumstances (ie. not while planning a heist with life-or-death stakes). How long does it take to go from idea to final product? What are all the steps involved, and how do people feel about each step? What strategies do they use while testing their designs to make sure they don't die horribly? Do merchant house scrivers have to deal with any kind of office politics in order to get their designs approved?

In general I love missing scenes, worldbuilding, character studies, humor/banter between characters, bittersweet fluff, and making my faves suffer (including/especially via major character death!). I'd also really love to read the play-by-play version of any of the conversations alluded to but not portrayed in depth from canon (during the voyage across the Empty, deciding to turn back or to keep going, explaining the follies they found, any of their arguments about Ferantis). For Tess & her crew, I'd love to see any of: bonding moments between them, conversations showing her crewmembers' perspectives on the likelihood of their success or the strange things they've found in the Empty, more of them solving problems together, more of Tess getting to show her complete competence in sailing, or anything else you find interesting! For Aston/Ferantis, I'm so curious about their initial feelings for each other or more details of their conversations together, but a missing scene from those three days at the inn would be very welcome too.

I just remember constantly thinking "damn, am I the only one who thinks the things Jevick and Miros keep saying to each other as expressions of friendship are extremely homoerotically charged?" Were there ever any threats of war breaking out between them, and how did they find themselves on better terms?

- Alteration research: What was the process of refining the leviathan's blood into a graft/suffusion for the first time? How did that person discover it? What mishaps did they encounter in early research/experimentation? What were the purposes of the first grafts, and who used them (just the nobility, just the peasantry, just the military, etc)? How has the process been improved by canon-era--or has it gotten worse because so much knowledge died with the Old Khanum?
- Early history/lore: what was the Khanum's march to the sea actually like, where they were said to have tamed the leviathans and built the sea walls, and what do the legends say it was like? How did various cultures interpret the existence of the leviathans (divine punishment? a force of destruction that leads to rebirth/rebuilding? some sort of deity in and of themselves? something else?)
- Gender/sexuality: The complete acceptance of queer relationships so far vs. the emphasis on bloodlines and heirs has made me *so* curious about how queerness is viewed within the Empire (have they legalized gay marriage or not?? genuine question). And surely the presence of so many self-alterations would enable a *lot* of messing around with gender presentation--what kind of gender roles (or lack thereof) would emerge from that?
